FR International, based in Carmel, Indiana, brings to the commercial marketplace all the advantages of high-end decorative design combined with strong mechanical engineering and deep commercial hardware experience. Our designs are available on rugged, commercial-quality mechanical platforms that conform to the demands of the North American market.
But most of our clients don’t come to us for a catalog. They come to us for the people behind it, and for what happens when a knowledgeable team takes ownership of a project from the first conversation through final delivery. That is where FR International is different.
A Team That Knows This Work
Hardware is a detailed business, and details are handled by people, not processes. That is why so much of what defines FR International comes down to the individuals who do the work and the experience they bring to every project.
Relationships That Move Projects Forward
We don’t see ourselves as a manufacturer filling orders. We see ourselves as a partner, and that starts with conversation. Clients tell us the difference is the people. We get involved early, take the time to understand the design intent and the technical requirements, and stay reachable when a question comes up during specification or installation. The details matter most when a project is under pressure, and that is exactly when our team is easiest to reach.

Solutions Built by People Who Design Them
When a project calls for something beyond the standard catalog, that is where we do some of our best work. Our in-house design capability lets us adapt existing designs, develop custom products, provide a wide range of finishes, and engineer solutions that bring a design vision and its technical requirements together seamlessly. Whatever the project needs, our team has the creativity and the engineering depth to make it real.
