FR International, based in Carmel, Indiana, brings to the commercial marketplace all the advantages of high-end decorative design combined with strong mechanical engineering and deep commercial hardware experience. Our designs are available on rugged, commercial-quality mechanical platforms that conform to the demands of the North American market.

But most of our clients don’t come to us for a catalog. They come to us for the people behind it, and for what happens when a knowledgeable team takes ownership of a project from the first conversation through final delivery. That is where FR International is different.

FR International is proud to feature many exclusive designs from Frascio, a prestigious Italian lever handle producer with an 80-year history of elegance and innovation. From its earliest beginnings in 1945 as a workshop in northern Italy, Frascio has grown into a globally recognized decorative door hardware brand specified by premier architects and designers worldwide.

We remain true to Frascio’s original manufacturing philosophy: to use only the highest quality materials, to continuously research emerging designs and technology, and to uphold careful attention to every production detail.

Our Green Commitment

FR International is a manufacturer of door hardware located in Carmel, Indiana. FRI products are manufactured primarily from brass, zinc, and stainless steel, and much of the raw material used to produce these parts comes from recycled metal. The percentage of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content is estimated as follows:

• The brass and zinc materials used to make many FR International products typically contain 80 to 100% recycled material, a combination of melted scrap metal and reclaimed by-products.
• Stainless steel used in FR International products has a post-industrial recycled content of approximately 70%, and a post-consumer recycled content of approximately 8%.
• The post-industrial recycled content of steel used to make FR International products is approximately 30 to 40%, meaning roughly 30 to 40% of the metal used is either scrap metal or other recycled material melted in the furnace.
• Approximately 40% of the packaging used by FR International is comprised of recycled material.
